About Recursive 8

Large organisations have always had access to senior operational and strategic support. It's built into how they're structured - Chiefs of Staff, COOs, transformation leads, and big consultancies on speed dial. That access helps them move faster, make better decisions, and scale more effectively.

Smaller and mid-sized businesses are navigating the same challenges with none of that infrastructure. Not because they need it less. Because it's never been built for them.

Recursive 8 exists to change that. We bring the same quality of operational and strategic partnership to business owners and leadership teams - at a price point and engagement model that makes sense for where they are.

The name reflects how we think about organisations. The same patterns that make a small business work - clear decisions, the right structure, people who know what they're responsible for - repeat at every level. Get them right early, and they scale with you. The 8 is a nod to that: cycles, repetition, and the kind of change that compounds over time rather than arriving as a one-off transformation.

About Angie Doyle

Recursive 8 was founded by Angie Doyle - an operations and transformation leader with over 25 years of experience across large global organisations, boutique consulting firms, and everything in between.

I started in business process engineering - understanding how organisations actually function, where things slow down, and what's getting in the way. That foundation never left me. It's still how I walk into a new business: looking for the system underneath the symptoms.

My career has moved between delivering inside large, complex organisations and building practices from scratch - as an Associate Partner at one of Africa's largest independent management consultancies, an Equity Partner at a boutique firm, and a Director within a global technology programme office overseeing a portfolio of 130+ teams and ~$200M in regional technology spend. Some of that work was in organisations of tens of thousands. Some of it was in businesses of ten.

I served two terms on the Board of the Agile Alliance, including as Corporate Secretary and Executive Committee member - experience that sharpened how I think about governance, strategy, and organisational decision-making at a global level. I was selected for SER Topvrouwen in 2026, a Dutch initiative recognising senior women leaders in business. I'm currently completing an MBA at Edinburgh Business School.

What I've learned from working at scale is that the practices introduced with the best intentions - the governance, the frameworks, the tooling - almost always become the thing that slows people down. Growing businesses add them too early and kill the culture that got them there. Large organisations have been adding them for so long they've forgotten what speed feels like.

That's the problem I built Recursive 8 to solve.
